Leander ISD Events of Note:

Attend School Board Meetings

Attend LISD School Board meetings to learn how decisions are made concerning your children's education. The Leander ISD Board typically meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month. The first meeting of the month rotates between Four Points Middle School (9700 Mc Neil Drive in Austin) and the LISD Technology Services building (315 S. West Dr. in Leander). The second meeting of the month is held at Cedar Park Middle School (2100 Sun Chase Blvd, off of Cypress Creek Rd. in Cedar Park).
The first scheduled meeting each month is a Board work session, with the second meeting set aside for action on pending issues. All Leander ISD Board of Trustees meetings begin at 6:15 p.m. Agendas for all board meetings are posted at the LISD Central Office 72 hours prior to each meeting. Additional meetings may be scheduled with 72 hours notice. The LISD Board provides an opportunity for Citizen Comments at each regular board meeting. Guidelines governing Citizen Comments are outlined
here.
Check the Board agenda on the LISD website. The Board packet, including suppporting documents such as budget and tax rate proposals, construction reports, committee reports, etc., is posted electronically about two days before each scheduled meeting. Download these documents from BoardBook. Documents will be in PDF or Word format and some may be slow to download.
